Frequently Asked

EVERYTHING ABOUT HRK.

If you're new here or wondering how the engine works under the hood, start here.

What is The Home Run King?
HRK is a daily MLB research tool — projections, splits, spray charts, per-game heatmaps, alternate lines across 18+ sportsbooks, and parlay suggestions powered by historical correlations. Built for prop bettors who want depth without the spreadsheet grind.
How often does the data refresh?
The full pipeline runs every morning at 9 AM ET (Discord post goes out at that time), then a lineup watcher polls the official MLB feed every 90 seconds. The moment a lineup change publishes — a starter swap, lineup-confirm, or pitcher change — the projection engine re-runs and the whole site rebuilds within about 2 minutes. So what you see is never older than the most recent lineup move.
Which sportsbooks are priced?
18+ books across major prop markets, including DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, ESPN Bet, Fanatics, BetRivers, and Pinnacle (the sharp reference book we devig against). The Odds Discrepancies cheatsheet shows every book side-by-side with the best price highlighted.
What's the "HRK Rating" on each row?
A composite 0–100 score combining (1) Poisson fair-odds value vs the best book's market implied probability, and (2) multi-book consensus depth (how many books agree the line is sharp). Anything ≥ 80 is gated as a PLAY; ≥ 90 is flagged Elite. The full breakdown lives on each player profile.
How do parlay suggestions work?
Two ways. The Top Plays page auto-suggests 3-leg correlated parlays — pairs of legs whose historical co-occurrence rate is ≥ 25% across the last full season or longer. Click the 🎯 button on any player row to spawn correlation-aware partner suggestions for that anchor. The Parlay Slip lets you build your own and exports a Discord-ready slip image.
What data sources power the projections?
Public, attribution-friendly MLB sources: pitch-level event logs, sportsbook odds APIs, ballpark weather feeds, and historical game logs. We blend an internal projection model (~12 features per batter, ~8 per pitcher) with market-implied probabilities and edge-cap rules tuned per market. The exact formula is intentionally not published — that's the moat — but the inputs are documented per page.
How do I track my bets here?
Use the 🎯 Tracker page. You can manually enter wagers or import a CSV export from your sportsbook tracker app (Pikkit format supported). Everything lives in your browser's localStorage — no account, nothing leaves the device.
What's the watchlist for?
Click the gold ★ next to any player on the Cheatsheets, Player Profile, or Streaks page. They'll show up on the Watchlist with live odds, recent form, and correlation partners. Same idea as a "follow" list. Stored in browser only.
How do I get on the Discord?
The Discord link is in the top nav of every page. Daily picks, lineup-change alerts, parlay write-ups, and questions to the engine. Free to join.
Is this betting advice?
No. HRK is research and analysis only — for entertainment and educational purposes. Nothing on this site constitutes professional betting advice, and we're not affiliated with MLB or any sportsbook. If you bet, do so responsibly. See our Responsible Gambling page for resources.
